Housing Assistant, All Interested Applicants

Duties
Individual reports to the Supervisory Realty/Leasing Assistant and the position falls within the Leasing Section of General Services Office. Individual is the primary person responsible for responding to and following up on customer requests for routine landlord repairs and maintence, triaging and coordinating with other Embassy sections and landlords’ agents. Required to maintain the Real Property Application (RPA) system occupant and property information. Works in other systems like GMMS, eLeaseWaiver, POSHO and Security systems to ensure that housing and occupant records are up to date.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE: Two years of administrative work experience, including one year involving either leasing, facilities or utilities work are required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a good working knowledge of typical American standards in houses when responding to residents’ requests. Good working knowledge of post and State/OBO housing policies and practices is required. A general knowledge of local city real estate laws, regulations, and procedures as they relate to residential leasing and contracting is required. Knowledge of local housing market and practices.

English: Good working knowledge – Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use English as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions. This will be tested.
French: Good working knowledge – Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use French as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions. This may be tested.
Bambara: Good working knowledge – Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use Bambara as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good oral and written communications skills that include customer service are required. Strong organizational skills are required. The ability to interpret and apply housing policies and regulations is required. Excellent overall computer skills and MS Office is required. Numerical skills for manipulating and reporting housing data are required. Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license for at least 5 years.
