Duties
Incumbent serves as an Assistant Motor pool Supervisor in the General Services Office (GSO). S/he plans, controls and coordinates the use of GSO/Motor pool vehicles (about 107), 22 chauffeurs to provide efficient transportation services to the Mission staff. S/he pledges to the effectiveness and professionalism in providing requested services and delivers customers satisfaction. Position organizes and follows up periodical VIP visits at post. Position is located in the GSO Motor pool section of the Embassy and is directly supervised by the Motor Pool Supervisor.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE: Two years experience as a dispatcher and automotive maintenance knowledge are required. An additional two years of supervisory experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: A good working knowledge of the Department of States regulations and procedures governing the use of motor pool vehicles and the basics of automotive care and mechanical functions. Extensive knowledge of the host Country traffic laws and regulations and geography of the city and its environs. Must have a good knowledge of automotive operations, safety and maintenance practices.

English – Good working knowledge is required: Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use English as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions.

Bambara – Good working knowledge is required: Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use Bambara as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Administrative and organizational skills. Must possess a valid local driver’s license for at least 3 years. Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suites and Fleet Management Integrated System.
