Visa Clerk/Receptionist – All interested Applicants/All Sources The U.S. Mission in BAMAKO is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Visa Clerk/Receptionist position in the CONSULAR office. Salary: (XOF) CFA7,638,211 – (XOF) CFA7,638,211/Per Year Series/Grade: LE – 1405 – 6 Agency: Embassy Bamako Position Info: Location: Bamako, ML Close Date: (MM/DD/YYYY) 11/23/2024 Duties This position serves as the cashier for all consular services provided, including nonimmigrant visa and American Citizen Services products, such as passports, reports of birth abroad, and notary services. Additional key aspects of the position include providing professional and courteous customer service to more than 100 customers per day, and clerical visa-related work, such as nonimmigrant visa case creation, data entry, visa printing and pass back. This position also serves as the section’s timekeeper for payroll purposes, coordinating and submitting time and attendance records. This position is rated by the Senior Nonimmigrant Visa Assistant (LES) and reviewed by the Consular Chief. CONSULAR CASHIER : 45% As consular cashier, the incumbent processes all consular fees using the Automated Cash Register System (ACRS), and turns all collected fees in to the Embassy Class B cashier at the end of each day. The consular cashier conducts end-of-day, end-of-month, and end-of-year accounting procedures in accordance with Chapter 700 of the Consular Management Handbook. The consular cashier is responsible and personally accountable for any discrepancies in fee collections and is required to report such discrepancies to the Accountable Consular Officer (ACO) immediately upon discovery. CLERICAL 20% The Cashier/Visa Clerk performs basic clerical duties such as filing, translating, and documents scanning, in addition to data entry, visa printing, pasting and visa passback. The incumbent is also responsible for updating and maintaining adequate supplies of all information sheets, handouts and forms letters. The incumbent also orders necessary supplies from the General Service Office. CUSTOMER SERVICE 30% The Cashier/Visa Clerk interacts daily with U.S. citizens, visa applicants, and other interested parties to provide accurate and professional cashiering services and top-notch customer service throughout. The incumbent directs all other inquires to the appropriate consular staff member. RECEPTIONIST 5% The Cashier/Visa Clerk maintains non-immigrant visa (NIV) appointment lists. The incumbent will also perform basic NIV document checks, including assisting the Consular Visa Assistant with all NIV intake each morning.
